 Rhyason Contracting services oil and gas companies such as Petro Canada, Encana, Dominion, Devon, CNRL, Suncor , Duvernay among others. Specializing in construction of various size pipelines and all types of oilfield facilities. Employing a core group of 50 - 60 employees, with average 15 years experience, Rhyason Contracting expands to 225-250 employees at peak periods (late November to early March).  The geographical area that Rhyason services extends from South of Dawson Creek to Fort Nelson and into north western Alberta.



Pre-employment Policy

Rhyason Contracting has a pre-employment hire policy in place, which includes welders and sub contractors. The following current tickets and personal protective equipment are required:

*H2S Alive (Current)    *WHMIS (within the last 3 years)    *Fire retardant coveralls    *Hard hat    *Steel toed work boots    *Safety glasses     *No Beards    *Rhyason will supply safety glasses    * IRP #16 Compliant (Basic Safety Awareness) Training
*Additional courses, OFA Level1 Transportation Endorsement, Chainsaw training, and TDG are assets but not required.

Pre-employment Orientations are held every Thursday at 2:00 pm at Rhyason Contracting's Fort St. John office
 

 

Work Environment

*All of the work is outside
*80% of the work is physical labour.
*Rhyason Contracting operates seven days a week, at an average 12 hrs per day
*Camp work may be necessary depending on project location
*Wages are approx. $14.00 - $27.00 an hour, paid biweekly.
